Sun Microsystems Australia Regional Delegate Program
We're trying something new here, and with the support of our RDP sponsor, Sun Microsystems Australia, and the regional Linux User Groups (LUGs) around Australia, we're going to make it work!
As part of its ongoing support of the Linux movement, Sun Microsystems will sponsor one delegate from every Australian state and territory to attend the Linux.conf.au 2003 in Perth. Under the Sun(tm) sponsorship package, the chosen delegate will receive a full Professional Registration for the conference (including a ticket to the Conference Dinner) and free travel and accommodation for the duration of the four day conference. We've selected a set of Linux User Groups in each area, and given them a brief on what we'd like them to do. They will either run a competition, raffle, or some other method of determining who to give this package to. If the winner from each state has already registered, then their money will be refunded to them. The package includes:
How do you find out how to get involved so you can have a chance at this? You'll need to contact your nominated Linux User Group in your state or territory:
Competition closes November 30 (or when the Linux User Group in your state decides). Results to be announced here and on the lca-announce mailing list around December 7th. Please check back later on this page for links to each state's RDP if it is not linked to from above.
Once again, this has been made possible due to the kind support of Sun Microsystems Australia.
