This is a talk at the LinuxChix miniconf, from 14:00–14:40 on Tuesday 16 January 2007 by Kristen Carlson Accardi.
This talk will discuss how to retrieve information about PCI devices on your system via userspace. This information can be used for validation purposes, for administration purposes, and "just because you can". We will start with a very brief and high level overview of the PCI protocol, and then go over sysfs interfaces as well as other user space tools for accessing PCI information.
