Michael Kerrisk started off making a few small suggestions on how to improve the man-pages package in 2000, and became the package maintainer in 2004. He has been programming computers since 1978; since 1987, the majority of his work (programming, teaching and writing about programming) has involved some version of Unix. He has an unfashionable affection for writing documentation. His book providing a detailed description of the Linux (and Unix) system call API should appear in 2007. He is a New Zealander, currently living in Zurich, Switzerland.
