Hobart Linux Conference Opens Call for Miniconfs

Organisers of linux.conf.au, Australia's prestigious Linux conference, today announced the call for miniconfs to the wider Linux community coinciding with the launch of their call for papers. The conference, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Hobart next January, is expected to attract influential speakers from the international and local technical Linux and Open Source communities.

Organisers of open source projects or groups who may have something interesting to showcase at linux.conf.au are invited to submit a proposal to run their own mini-conference during the first two days leading up to the main conference.

More information can be found at the Miniconf presenter FAQ.

linux.conf.au, the National Linux Conference, will be held January 19-24 in Hobart at the University of Tasmania. Miniconfs will be held on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th of January 2009.
