From booting without memory to particle beam irradiation: Adventures of Bare Metal Linux at Big Blue

Bare Metal Linux is a tool used at IBM for hardware bring-up on IBM POWER servers, where we've forced Linux to do some backflips like running the kernel out of memory running on another system in a a different building over I/O cables conducting research by operating Linux on a processor that was being bombarded with protons and neutrons coming from a particle accelerator.
